The Wave By Henning Larsen Architects Wins Civic Trust Award

The small Danish town Wiley will soon get the third wave residential complex “The Wave”, designed by the Danish studio “Henning Larsen Architects”, which in 2010 won the award for best residential complex of the year. The complex consists of 5 blocks – “waves” and is designed for 140 apartments , some of them on many levels. Each apartment has a view that is breathtaking, relaxing view of beautiful green fjord. In front of complex is built promenade, which on sunny days can be used as part of sunscreen, and companionship to residents and other citizens and visitors of Wiley. The complex looks like the waves of the sea, wavy contours, go directly to the bay and the beach on promenade. During the day White Complex is reflected in seawater. After nightfall its contours resemble shining hills, in which known Danish capital Wiley. In appearance the housing complex is actually replicated all over Wiley nature, beauty of the fjord, the infinite blue of the calm sea and the high hills around.
